The Wild Sheep Society of British Columbia is deeply concerned about Allendale Quarry- South Central Mining Region NoW ID: 2000464-2024-01.  We encourage you to submit your comments. The proposed quarry is in the heart of Bighorn Sheep habitat, and, without question, would impact numerous species of wildlife in the area.  Additionally, with the main crushing plant at the lowest point of the Crown Land parcel, next to a creek bed it would further negatively impact the landscape.  The proposed fifty-year timeline of the quarry would have a lasting negative impact around an already stressed Bighorn Sheep population that has been affected by human encroachment and industrial development.
