Our way of life is under attack and science-based wildlife management has taken a back seat to emotional and ideological decision making.

Under the weight of politically manipulated social pressure, hunting opportunities have been eliminated here in BC and around the world.

What will our community do? What will be our legacy when, years from now, people look back on this critical point in time?

Will hunting still be “a way of life”, or just a memory of what some of us once enjoyed?

What is 1Campfire?

Often we get asked “What is 1Campfire?”

A question that has no single answer.

1Campfire is a feeling, a passion, a drive and a deeply rooted belief for the future.

1Campfire is mine. It’s yours.

It’s everyone who cares about fish, wildlife, the outdoors, and all its pursuits.

If you’ve ever wondered in amazement at the sunrise, the sunset, the mountains to the ocean, 1Campfire is yours as well.

Everyone is welcome around our Campfire, so pull up a seat…we have a story to tell.

I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF 1CAMPFIRE AND I AM A HUNTER.

Although our primary driver is to educate about hunting, our main audience is not the hunter. Hunters already understand what we do, and why we do it. We target our messaging across North America and push it into spaces outside of the hunting arena. So if you have not heard about 1Campfire until now, that means we are continuing to address the correct audiences- the ones that need to hear from us.  Although the anti-hunters are the most vocal, the overwhelming majority of people remain neutral on the topic of hunting. It is their hearts and minds that we must win over and educate. This campaign is designed around that premise.

We are not as different as you may think

Hunting isn’t about the kill
It’s more than that.
I hunt for camaraderie with my friends and family.
I hunt for mushrooms, berries and wild edibles.
I hunt for rocks and precious gems.
I hunt for time outdoors.
I hunt for the silence and solitude.
I hunt for quiet contemplation.
I hunt for the views.
I hunt for the connection to the landscape.
I hunt to reconnect with my heritage.
